Favorites

Your favorites. Every device. No account.

Favorites is a fast, private speed-dial page for everything you open daily — sites, dashboards, even local files. One token syncs it everywhere. No email, no password, no tracking.

Free forever·Pro sync: $3/year·30-day free trial

Features

Everything a start page should do. Nothing it shouldn't.

No framework, no build step, no database, no login screen — one small page that loads instantly and stays out of your way.

One token, every device Pro

Paste your sync token once per device and your favorites, pages, and settings converge everywhere. Leave it blank and the app works fully offline-local.

Private by design

No email, no name, no password. Your token is your whole identity — the server stores only its hash and your one small document. Nobody can see anyone else's data.

Icons that just work

Tiles resolve real product logos first, then favicons, then a colored letter — automatically, through a privacy-preserving proxy. Or paste any icon URL you like.

Pages for every context

Group tiles into pages — work, homelab, mobile — switched with a chip bar or linked directly with ?p=. Each device can open to its own default page.

Local files too

Add file:/// paths — or just paste C:\ and network paths — and get folder tiles beside your sites. A click hands you the path, ready for the address bar.

Bring your bookmarks

Import a browser bookmarks file and folders become pages; import and export the whole document as JSON any time. Merges are deduplicated — nothing gets overwritten.

Make it yours

Dark or light theme, separate desktop and mobile wallpapers, background color, and per-page sorting — alphabetical or drag-anywhere manual order.

Open-source app

The speed-dial itself is MIT — a single HTML file plus one tiny Worker you can read in minutes or self-host. Your subscription funds the hosted sync.

How it works

Set up in a couple of minutes

There is nothing to install. In the app, a token takes the place of an entire account system.

Start your free trial

New customers get 30 days, $0 due today. Checkout takes a card so sync can continue seamlessly at $3/year — cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing. The trial is one per customer; subscribe again later and the $3 is charged up front.

Copy your license key

It arrives by email the moment checkout finishes, and the thank-you page shows it too. The key is your sync token—keep it in a password manager.

Paste it everywhere

Open app.favoritespage.us → Settings (⚙) → Sync, paste, save — phone, laptop, work machine. Every device converges on the same favorites.

Why a token instead of a login? The app itself never sees your email and can't profile you—it holds a hash of your token and one small JSON document, nothing else. Your email is used only for billing and for managing your subscription at account.tgwab.us.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What does it cost?

Free is free forever: the full app, no token, no account — your favorites live in each browser. Pro is the sync token that keeps every device on the same favorites: $3 per year, after a 30-day free trial if you have not subscribed before ($0 due today; cancel before the trial ends and you're never charged). Cancel later and you simply drop back to Free with your data intact.

What do you store about me?

For sync: a SHA-256 hash of your token and one JSON document (your favorites and settings), capped at 100 KB—the app never sees your email. For billing: your email and payment method live with Stripe, and you manage your subscription at account.tgwab.us, which signs you in by email. Analytics is a self-hosted, cookieless Plausible instance that counts page views, not people.

What if I lose my license key?

It's in your welcome email, and every renewal receipt repeats it. If it's gone or has leaked, contact support and we'll issue a replacement key. Your data is keyed to your account id, not the key, so nothing is lost. (Settings → Data → Export in the app makes good backups anyway.)

How do I cancel?

Any time — cancel during the trial and you pay nothing at all. When a subscription ends, sync pauses but every device keeps its local favorites and your synced data stays put; resubscribing later picks up exactly where you left off.

How do local file:// tiles work?

Add any file:/// URL — or paste a plain C:\, network, or Unix path and it's converted for you. Browsers don't let a web page open file:// links directly, so clicking a file tile copies the location for pasting into the address bar (with a local-links browser extension installed, the click opens it directly).

Can I use it without subscribing?

Yes — without a token the app is fully functional, free, and keeps everything in your browser's local storage. Start a trial later and your local favorites sync up as-is.

Can I run my own?

The app itself is MIT licensed: one Worker, one KV namespace, no build step. Deploy it to your own Cloudflare account and issue your own tokens; the docs walk through it. The subscription is for the hosted instance we run and back up for you.

Self-host

Yours to run, too

The Favorites app is MIT: one HTML file and a Worker that keeps each person's favorites in Workers KV, light enough for Cloudflare's free Workers plan. Fork it, audit it, or run your own. Deploy it to your Cloudflare account, issue yourself a token, and paste it into the app's License key field; the docs walk through each step.
